The Outside Plant Construction Project Lead will oversee all facets of the Operations related to Wireline Outside Plant Construction. This role involves coordinating the workload of the construction team, engaging directly with clients, and managing both Buried Fiber and Aerial projects. The Project Lead must possess strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and exceptional relationship-building skills. Acting as a liaison between Supervisors and Clients during scheduling meetings, this position is crucial for managing the workflow of all projects assigned by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the change order work completion process to ensure pre-approval and prevent overextension of company resources.
  • Drive revenue generation while maintaining positive profit margins for the organization.
  • Schedule workloads effectively, provide job forecasting reports, and liaise with clients regarding scheduling and employee assignments.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer technical inquiries while adhering to contractual obligations for the maintenance and installation of client equipment.
  • Ensure that critical factors such as cost, time, quality, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate company databases.
  • Collaborate with Municipalities to execute necessary permits.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with the construction operations team to align build schedules with client priorities.
  • Review and implement key performance indicators related to build production, job management, and market productivity.
  • Promote safe working practices and conditions in compliance with all regulations and policies.
  • Manage customer escalations and mitigate roadblocks effectively.
  • Work hours and schedules will be determined based on regional and client needs, typically requiring at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with potential weekend and overtime work based on workload demands.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in wireline outside plant construction project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing project management roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) and Word.
  • Strong data manipulation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and team members to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to understand and utilize work-in-progress reports for accurate 90-day work forecasting.
  • Proven experience in managing construction crew workloads.
  • Ability to interpret construction prints and blueprints and perform site layout.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Drive and Sheets.
  • Familiarity with Quick Base.
  • Experience in Outside Plant operations.
