Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Systems Specialist to join our team at DTK Facility Services. As a key member of our commercial facility services company, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and repairs of commercial irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Determine the most suitable materials for new irrigation system installations and implement them according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Operate and maintain all necessary equipment for installing and repairing commercial irrigation systems.
  • Adhere to company safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of irrigation supplies to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Install landscaping drainage systems and complete irrigation inspections, mapping, and reporting.
  • Repair and install PVC and RVC pipes up to 3 inches in diameter.
  • Adjust and operate irrigation controllers to meet property needs.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues related to irrigation systems.
  • Understand and implement drip irrigation systems.
  • Safely operate a trencher and backfill soil for irrigation repairs.
Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in commercial irrigation systems.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state of Texas (a plus).
  • Licensed irrigator in the state of Texas (a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Multitasking and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of Outlook email system.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish (a plus).
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance for daily assignments.
Work Environment
  • Most work will be done in an outdoor setting in various weather conditions.
  • May work with low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Regularly work with mechanical objects.
  • Frequent 8-10 hour workdays.
  • Must have complete use of hands to operate tools.
  • Must be able to see up close or from a distance with or without the aid of eyeglasses.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, climb, and balance.
  • May be required to lift or move objects weighing 25-50 pounds.
