About the RoleThe Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is an essential member of our team, working within the Behavioral Health Department to provide patient care under the direction of the RN. This role involves individual interactions, group facilitation, and promoting a culture of safety and treatment excellence.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care that is trauma-informed and patient-centered.
- Use verbal de-escalation techniques with vulnerable populations.
- Perform patient and visitor searches.
- Associate's Degree in Social Services or a health-related area, or 60 college credits required.
- At least 6 months experience in Nursing or Behavioral Health, or Customer Service experience required.
- Current certification in Heart Saver/CPR BLS according to American Heart Association Standards required.
- Completion of training in Preventing & Managing Crisis Situations required.
The estimated salary for this role is $2541 - $2674 per hour, reflecting the demands and expectations of the position in our location.
