We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Aid Specialist to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a key member of our Student Affairs Division, you will play a critical role in providing information to prospective and enrolled students regarding state and federal financial assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate financial assistance programs available to enrolled students, including scholarships, grants, and student loans.
- Develop and maintain student financial aid records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of TCSG operations, policies, and procedures, as well as federal and state student financial assistance programs and laws governing such.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of financial aid services, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree and three years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
