Position Overview:
The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing seeks to recruit exceptional faculty members for our clinical track. Our mission is to cultivate visionary nurse leaders and scholars who will contribute to the advancement of nursing, health, and healthcare systems on both local and global scales.
Key Responsibilities:
We invite applications from individuals who hold doctoral degrees and possess experience in nursing education. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in educational or clinical scholarship. Preference will be given to those capable of teaching a diverse range of clinical subjects at the pre-licensure level, particularly those with certification and recent practice as advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs). We have a particular need for individuals prepared as:
- Family Nurse Practitioners
- Adult-Gero Primary Care Nurse Practitioners
- Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
- Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioners
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
Collaborative Environment:
As part of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center, the School of Nursing is recognized nationally for its leadership in nursing education and practice. Faculty members will have the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations across various fields, including Cardiovascular Health, Data Science, Omics and Genetics/Genomics, Neuroscience, and Palliative Care. We also foster partnerships with other esteemed institutions.
Qualifications:
Appointments may be made at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on the candidate's experience. Candidates for Associate Professor or Professor should have a proven track record in education, showcasing excellence in teaching and research as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications. Nurses must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
