Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is committed to attracting world-class faculty to advance its mission to educate visionary nurse leaders and scholars, generate and apply knowledge, and transform nursing, health, and systems of health care within the local and global community.

Research Opportunities

We are seeking applications for tenured, tenure-track, and research track faculty positions in the following areas:

  • Health Informatics and/or Data Science/artificial intelligence related to health care including mHealth and eHealth
  • Environmental/climate science, neuroscience/dementia, aging/caregiving, global health, clinical research (i.e. Women's Health, Diabetes Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Renal, Brain Health, Symptom Science)
  • Social Determinants of Health

Well-qualified individuals with other specializations are also encouraged to apply. Individuals from the discipline of nursing are preferred.

Collaborative Environment

The School of Nursing maintains and seeks to extend research leadership and collaborative relationships with Emory's strong interdisciplinary initiatives in:

  • Cardiovascular Health
  • Data Science
  • Omics and Genetics/Genomics
  • Neuroscience
  • Palliative Care

The School provides many other interdisciplinary collaborative opportunities, including with colleagues in Emory's Rollins School of Public Health, Emory's College of Arts and Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a research doctorate, have evidence of post-doctoral training, and an actively funded program of research. Candidates at the associate and full professor level should have evidence of a sustained, extramurally funded program of research and strong track record of publications commiserate with the rank they are seeking. Candidates who are nurses must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
