Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Fulfillment Strategies: Research, develop, and lead the implementation of scaling up fulfillment systems and infrastructure to support increasing volume.
  • Optimize Shipping Spend and Strategy: Research, develop, and optimize the shipping spend and strategy to reduce cost and improve customer experience.
  • Lead and Manage the Fulfillment Team: Manage the hiring, leading, training, mentoring, and coaching of the team to execute activities in a way that will ensure goals are achieved, while growing the skillsets of the team.
  • Ensure Order Accuracy and Customer Satisfaction: Oversee the fulfillment operations to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Fulfillment and Shipping Technology: Manage fulfillment and shipping technology tools and structure weekly workflows to support daily shipping deadlines.
  • Design and Optimize Workflows: Design and optimize workflow and team efficiencies to scale fulfillment volume.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with small parcel delivery partners and manage contract strategy to ensure continued partnerships.
  • Oversee Cost Management: Oversee cost management and negotiation of parcel fulfillment to meet company shipping cost optimization goals.
  • Track and Organize Data: Track and organize data on customer order delivery and experience to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Buildings Maintenance: Manage and monitor buildings maintenance cost to ensure overall cost optimization.
  • Lead Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Budget: Manage and lead the KPI's and budget for the area, ensuring the team is achieving the monthly goals and/or setting countermeasures and development activities for underperforming areas.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or similar; will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Fulfillment or Operations Management experience with 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience within a meat processing, farm, agriculture, E-Commerce, manufacturing, or related industries preferred. Experience with managing P&L responsibilities for an organization size over $20M revenue is needed.
  • Certifications: N/a
  • Functional Skills: Strong research, planning, organizing, and execution skills required; forward-thinking with strong analytical and critical thinking ability; strong business acumen to ensure a smooth and effective fulfillment operations process; high attention to detail and accuracy with large amounts of data and numbers; advanced problem-solver with ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively; ability to sequence and optimize workflows for team members; with a strong ability to conceptualize and create enhancements. Ability to manage to a budget, and KPI's.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Advanced ability with technology and experience using ERP programs preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google Sheets. Detailed understanding of fulfillment and inventory management systems needed.
  • Language Skills: Strong verbal and written skillset; able to present and influence others.

What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $80,000-$95,000 per year with potential for bonus.
  • Reports To: Brandt (COO)
  • Core Hours: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm (Hours can be flexible as needed)
  • Typical Work Week: Monday to Friday; 40 hours/week (May be a few more hours during training period)
  • Direct Reports: 15+ Employees
  • Work Conditions: Office/warehouse environment with occasional travel to meat processor vendors.
  • Travel: Limited travel required.
