Medical Director for Internal Medicine Residency Program

We are seeking a seasoned Medical Director to lead our Internal Medicine Residency Program in Charleston, South Carolina.
Responsibilities- Shared accountability for the operation of the program, ensuring excellence in patient care and resident education.
- Delivery of curriculum, policies, and procedures for the program, fostering a collaborative environment among faculty members.
- Maintenance of ACGME accreditation and state approval through effective evaluation and improvement processes.
- Recruitment of residents into the program and development of a robust evaluation process for performance assessment.
- Participation in competency evaluations of residents, providing constructive feedback for growth and development.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
- Minimum of three years of experience and/or administrative experience in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program as a member of the faculty or leadership team.
- Ability to combine administrative and clinical teaching responsibilities (50/50).
- Strong administrative and team building skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Candidates with recent scholarly activity, such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000 - $350,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The compensation package includes benefits that support work-life balance and professional growth.
