Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exemplary customer service, aligning with our mission of being the most helpful hardware store.
• Assist customers with loading and handling bulk materials, including lumber and concrete.
• Manage customer deliveries and order pickups efficiently.
• Utilize scales for measuring bulk products, ensuring accurate pricing and stocking.
• Operate various vehicles including Forklifts, Loaders, Pick-Ups, Box Vans, and Dump Trucks.
• Support the merchandising of products and maintain designated areas within the yard.
• Exhibit a personality that reflects our Core Values and Expectations.
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate a forklift.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Prior experience in trade skills, complemented by a personality that embodies our Core Values and mission.

Skills/Knowledge:

A strong commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this role include but are not limited to:
Ability to frequently lift over 100 pounds to assist with customer orders.
Capability to stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills for interacting with staff and customers in person and over the phone.
Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
Experience operating forklifts, skip-loaders, and power saws.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Willingness to obtain and maintain forklift certification upon hire.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, with starting wages ranging from $16.50 to $17.00 per hour.
