Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Off-Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety-oriented, reliable, and driven. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry.

The Off-Highway Haul Truck Driver will undertake various maintenance tasks within the quarry, operate pit and yard loaders safely and efficiently, conduct daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate haul trucks in accordance with company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Engage in safety inspections and adhere to the plant safety program, following company and MSHA safety regulations.
  • Assist in loader production by managing surge piles and maintaining product piles as necessary.
  • Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and report required repairs to the supervisor.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, service mobile equipment, and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
  • Safely operate additional equipment such as pit and yard loaders as required.
  • Support the training of colleagues as needed.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants is preferred.
  • At least six (6) months of experience as a haul truck driver or in a related role is preferred.
