About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Controls Specialist to join our team at Haleon. As an Industrial Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and documenting work on our computerized manufacturing control systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Equipment: Conduct regular inspections of computerized manufacturing control systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Repair and Troubleshoot: Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with computerized manufacturing control systems and equipment, utilizing advanced technical knowledge and skills.
  • Document Work: Accurately document all work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and inspections, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Support Automation Projects: Collaborate with site Engineers to support automation projects, including basic PLC and HMI programming, configuring site servers and clients, and managing various industrial communication protocols and data gathering initiatives.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide direct and immediate technical support to manufacturing and packaging teams, including network configuration/infrastructure, Windows PCs, and servers.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate of Science degree in a related discipline, or equivalent certifications in information technology, or 3+ years of relevant work experience as an automation technician/maintenance electrician/IT support.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, domain/active directory, network switch configuration, SQL database viewing, software operation, IT support.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in management and support of manufacturing automated systems, knowledge of electrical system installation and troubleshooting, advanced knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, experience with FactoryTalk or Ignition HMI Systems, experience with Siemens or Rockwell Automation Systems, networking or cybersecurity certifications.
