About the Role:


The commercial HVAC superintendent - project manager is responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, and trade partners. This role requires a high level of organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with government regulations and RMC Safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure work sites are compliant with OSHA regulations and RMC Safety protocols.
  • Manage and schedule the installation of HVAC materials and equipment.
  • Maintain consistent contact with general contractors to stay informed about expected installation dates.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Verify options and equipment lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Keep project statuses up to date to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lay out crews to install materials on scheduled dates.
  • Attend and participate in general contractor meetings.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and safety meetings, and provide signed safety forms to general contractors and RMC Safety teams.
  • Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with RMC policies and procedures.
  • Schedule and direct quality control technicians daily, communicate with them to maintain schedules, and identify problems that need correction.
  • Follow up on all purchase orders and extra work.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with trade partners.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure work meets contract and company requirements.
  • Stay up to date with RMC policies and procedures, industry standards, and government regulations.
  • Be available via phone after hours and on weekends for emergency and customer-related issues.


Requirements:



  • Demonstrate proficiency in air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial, and knowledge of relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Installation of HVAC materials, equipment, and matched systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.
  • Team building skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal, presentation, and listening communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and custom accounting software.
  • Time management and stress management skills.
  • Mathematical aptitude.


Education and Experience:



  • High school diploma required.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • 10+ years of experience required.


Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
