Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
  • Perform regular maintenance on heating and cooling units
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions
  • Assist with installing, replacing, or repairing damaged equipment
  • Inspect and service refrigeration equipment, including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
  • Assist with maintaining chilled and hot water supply systems
  • Adjust and maintain internal electrical and electronic control systems
  • Assist with assembly and installation of metal ductwork
  • Assist in planning and designing new installations of HVAC systems
  • Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of Commercial HVAC experience
  • Ability to enter the Union and/or currently enrolled
  • Possess a valid and current Driver's License that meets the insurance requirements of the company
  • Push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10/30 Certified
  • Principles and practices of HVAC maintenance and repair; hazard and safety practices common to the trade
  • HVAC controls and safety devices; appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) / chemical usages; tools of the trade; materials and refrigerant recovery equipment and procedures used in installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems
  • Computerized electrical circuits and systems as they relate to air-conditioning, heating, ventilating, and refrigerated cooling
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls
