Job Description and Duties

This is a remote-centered telework position that will telework up to 60% of the time. As a teleworker, you will work from an alternate work location for at least 50% of your time.

The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety's Executive Office is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to work on pioneering efforts to develop policies to support effective oversight of electrical corporations' efforts to reduce utility-ignited wildfires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a top advisor to the Director and have significant broad responsibility for policy formulation and recommendations that directly relate to the execution of department's statutory requirements.
  • Advise the Director in handling matters related to electrical infrastructure safety, electrical utilities, underground excavation safety and general departmental policy, governance, modernization, and administration.
  • Develop and implement policies to support effective oversight of electrical corporations' efforts to reduce utility-ignited wildfires.
Working Conditions

The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street, 20th Floor, Sacramento, CA.

Special Requirements

This position is designated under the Conflict-of-Interest Code. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict-of-Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.
