Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Product Manager to lead our accessibility efforts and ensure that our software products are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, best practices, and a proven track record of implementing accessible solutions in a software development environment.

This role is crucial to our mission of creating inclusive products that provide an excellent user experience for everyone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive accessibility strategy across all product lines, ensuring alignment with the company's overall mission and goals.
  • Advocate for accessibility initiatives at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, and ensure accessibility is considered in all stages of product development.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate accessibility best practices into the design and development process.
  • Conduct accessibility audits, usability tests, and provide feedback to teams to improve product accessibility.
  • Ensure that all products comply with relevant accessibility standards and regulations (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in accessibility, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing accessibility initiatives in a software product environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ARIA) and legal requirements (e.g., ADA, Section 508).
  • Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, voice recognition software).
