Job Title: Workers Compensation Analyst

Job Summary:

The Workers Compensation Analyst will be responsible for ensuring timely handling of workers' compensation claims, evaluating accident reports, and providing direction to TPA claims adjusters to facilitate resolving claims quickly and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will analyze data sets, maintain ongoing communication with store management and HR leadership, and coordinate with the Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator to run OSHA reports and distribute compliance postings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate accident reports to determine accuracy and completeness, and ensure an adequate investigation is completed.
  • Determine the need to report claims to the Third Party Administrator for handling.
  • Provide direction to TPA claims adjusters to facilitate resolving claims quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Analyze data sets for production of reports providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain ongoing and direct communication with store management, regional, and HR leadership regarding claims management and training.
  • Coordinate with the Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator to run OSHA reports and distribute compliance postings.
  • Assist Manager and Sr. Analyst with OSHA injury reporting and tracking.
  • Create various reports and formats in PowerPoint or Excel using Third Party Administrator databases for the Manager.
  • Manage the production of posters, newsletters, mailings, e-mail distributions, and training presentations to the various audiences.
  • Support Benefits Intranet site and Learning & Development portal updates as directed by the Manager.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, webinars, and other assigned tasks as requested by the Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficient in office technology, including Excel, pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word, and other applications.
  • Evidence of successful on-time delivery.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal communication experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of workers' compensation experience in a carrier/TPA or Risk Management environment.
  • Claims Management background a plus.
  • Previous Property/Casualty/Disability claims adjusting experience a plus.
