Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Personal Banker - Member Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our members by providing a range of financial products and services. You will assist members in opening new accounts, offering credit card products, Money Market/CD accounts, consumer loans, and mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Best-in-Class Service: Offer prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional interactions with our members.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in our products and services offerings, new accounts, and consumer lending processes.
- Assist with Complex Transactions: Assist members with complex financial transactions and accounts and ensure their needs are met through proactive follow-up and resolution.
- Build Financial Health: Build our members' financial health through conducting thorough consumer loans, home loans, and new account interviews using available tools to uncover financial needs and submit applications as needed.
- Advise on Financial Wellbeing: Advise our members in the areas of debt management, credit advancement, mortgages, and overall financial wellbeing.
- Engage in Financial Health Evaluations: Engage members in an in-depth financial health evaluation using available tools to recommend and open appropriate products and services.
- Support Community Relationships: Support community relationships on an as-needed basis.
- Adopt New Tools: Adopt new and existing tools that will enhance the member experience and consultation process.
- Advocate for Member Adoption: Advocate member adoption of new technology, campaigns, promotions, and digital products.
- Partner with Experts: Partner with our internal experts to recommend products and services to our members so they can achieve financial freedom.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Be a resource to train new and existing team members as needed.
- Comply with Regulations: Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.
- Assess Risk: Assess risk associated with your business processes and identifying control deficiencies to drive the company compliance and risk mindset and business performance.
- Minimum 3-5 Years of Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience as a teller and personal banker.
- Eligibility for Certifications: Maintain eligibility for NMLS, Medallion, and Notary certifications.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills.
- Professionalism and Flexibility: Ability to be professional and understanding in all interactions. Willing and able to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements.
- Self-Starter with Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to operate as a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Passion for Providing Exceptional Service: Passion for providing exceptional service, integrity, and resourcefulness.
- Eagerness to Learn and Improve: Eagerness to learn and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Technical Skills: Savvy with PCs, email, and proficient in all Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Availability to Travel: Must be willing to travel.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or associated field preferred.
