Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our stores, assisting the Store Manager in managing day-to-day operations, and providing leadership and guidance to store staff. This position requires a strong understanding of retail operations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Create an excellent customer shopping experience, ensuring that customers receive personalized attention and service.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Operations
    • Assist the Store Manager in managing store operations, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and sales floor maintenance.
    • Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed, including those related to sales, discounts, refunds, and loyalty programs.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Provide guidance and training to store staff, including sales associates and management team members.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including sales, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Inventory Control
    • Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Loss Prevention
    • Identify and report any potential security risks or incidents.
    • Develop and implement strategies to prevent loss and protect company assets.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, with a focus on customer service and store operations.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
    • Basic mathematical skills and ability to manage cash handling and inventory control.
