Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Hydrology & Hydraulics team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of complex drainage features to support development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Analysis: Design and analysis of stormwater detention basins, open channels, and storm sewer systems.
  • Floodplain and Mitigation Analysis: Perform floodplain and mitigation analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Reporting: Assist with preparation of technical reports and cost estimates.
  • Field Visits: Conduct field visits to understand existing site conditions and confirm accuracy of third-party survey.
  • Industry Events: Attend industry events and become involved in the community as a representative of WGA Consulting Engineers.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with technical support or Land Development personnel under H&H Project Managers' supervision.
  • Project Management: Schedule project deliverables and collect, organize, and evaluate data.
  • Design Specifications: Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
  • Communication: Work closely with project and task team leaders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering Degree: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering design.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained or scheduled to sit for exam.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in AutoCad and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
