Job Title: Level III Technician, Fleet

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Level III Technician, Fleet to join our team at ADB Companies, LLC. As a key member of our Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various sized trucks and construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on Class - Class 8 trucks
  • Diagnose and repair all sized engines, advanced electrical circuits, advanced hydraulic systems, electric/air brake trailers, A/C systems, and all HVAC
  • Perform all preventative maintenance and repairs on light and heavy construction equipment
  • Perform advanced fabrication work (Acetylene torch, plasma cutter, Mig and Arc Welders)
  • Occasionally report to active construction sites to perform various repairs
  • Perform Annual DOT inspections on necessary trucks and trailers
  • Complete accurate detailed work orders after completion of every task
  • Provide coaching and assistance to all technicians, and ongoing support to SR technicians
  • Perform detailed Pre-Trip inspections before driving company vehicles
  • Provide other position duties as requested
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience as a Service Technician repairing various size trucks and construction equipment
  • Formal technical training and certification preferred but not required
  • 8 ASE Medium Heavy truck, Air Brake Inspector, and DOT Inspector certifications preferred or willingness to obtain required
  • A/C 609 Certification required
  • Class A CDL w/ Tanker endorsements preferred; ability to obtain w/in 90 days of hire required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Environment:

This position operates out of a Fleet Services shop environment. Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving. Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated. Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and high visible vest when working on-site. Maintain a neat and clean appearance; wear proper uniform at ALL times.
