About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician II to join our team at United Rentals. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our mobile storage rental fleet equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile storage containers, office trailers, and modular buildings.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Utilize knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding repairs to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment maintenance and repair processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active applicable state class driver's license required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in basic electrical, plumbing, and/or welding repairs.
  • Basic verbal and written skills.
  • Construction knowledge and background.
  • Teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to utilize required information technology.
  • Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty process.
  • Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion.
  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced operations staff.
  • Lift up to 45 lbs.
