Job Title: Product Support Sales Representative

Job Summary:

Holt of California is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Support Sales Representative to join our Earthmoving Division. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for representing our company to customers and other businesses within a parts and service sales territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides sales and marketing departments with territory needs and sales leads information.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on and sell all Earthmoving parts, service, and related products.
  • Responsible for executing sales plan for assigned territory, including cold calling and calling on assigned customers.
  • Works as liaison between service departments and customers on service repairs.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Works with credit department on required paperwork.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Good public contact and interpersonal skills and conduct oneself in a manner that is professional and business-like at all times.
  • Have a neat appearance, and well-groomed appearance.
