Job Summary

As a Principal Civil Engineer at SRP, you will play a pivotal role in the generation and delivery of sustainable and flexible power to the Valley of the Sun. You will be responsible for providing support to SRP's Transmission Structures by utilizing PLS-CADD analysis and conducting peer and 3rd party reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as advisor and mentor to less experienced Designers and Engineers
• Perform design reviews
• Perform lead role in structural engineering for Transmission Structures
• Lead special project estimating and scoping
• Perform optimization analysis and project scoping; considering standard and non-standard structure and materials to meet the planning and project needs, while also meeting SRP standards, specifications, construction and maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Completion of a bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution or ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)
• Additional specialty training (MS Engineering, MBA, or 18 graduate level college semester hours from an accredited institution in an engineering related field)
• Ten (10) years full time professional experience actively engaged in engineering practice
• Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work as defined for this position
• Contributed to the authoring, publishing and/or presenting of internal or external technical papers
