Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise all departments, promoting coordination and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department managers, supervisors, and staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and uphold Deli's standards.
  • Select, train, and promote management staff in coordination with HR.
  • Oversee daily cashouts, following up on any discrepancies and ensuring proper cash handling procedures are maintained.
  • Schedule and conduct biweekly management meetings and quarterly management evaluations.
  • Collaborate with ownership to discover and implement strategic objectives.
  • Set clear training expectations and goals for department managers, with daily monitoring of their performance, needs, and shortcomings.
  • Achieve respectful employee and management conduct through delivering effective and consistent disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement staffing plans, goals, and budgets, with weekly overview and approval of each department's schedule.
  • Oversee regular training sessions for employees to ensure they are well-versed in company standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Maintain a customer-first mentality within management and staff, handling escalated customer issues and monitoring customer feedback for improvements.
  • Manage the Deli's online presence, including website, Google reviews, and email inquiries.
  • Oversee the management of the POS system and other Third Party Applications.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to mitigate potential risks and maintain a safe environment.
  • Lead initiatives for operational improvements and change, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among staff.
  • Assist and work with the purchasing agent on inventories and orders as special events and promotions occur.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a restaurant General Manager or similar role.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification - Must be valid or able to renew.
  • Ability to task delegate and follow through.
  • Ability to train others to your level of operational excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively with many different personalities.
  • Willingness to engage in difficult conversations with staff.
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant and positive attitude.
  • Ability to set an excellent example and standard in performance and policy adherence.
  • Ability to work holidays and weekends.
