Key Responsibilities:
+ The AC130 H/U/W/J Academic/Simulator/Flight Instructor will deliver formal academic, simulator, and flight training to both officer and enlisted personnel, covering initial and mission qualifications, aircraft commander upgrades, requalifications, instructor upgrades, and specialized training for special operations aircrew in emergency procedures, systems, instrument flight, and tactical operations.
+ Provide refresher training in academic and simulator settings for qualified AC130 aircrew members.
+ Collaborate in the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process to ensure the effective development and application of AC130J courseware.
+ The selected candidate will earn certification as an instructor from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF).
+ Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Educational Background:
+ An Associate's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
+ Must be current as a Pilot in the AC130 within the last two years, or within the last eight years if the candidate has completed eight years of military operational flying duty, including at least two years or 200 hours as an in-flight instructor in the relevant MDS and mission sets.
+ Candidates must obtain an active SECRET clearance and meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information and Communications Security (COMSEC) materials.
+ A minimum of 100 hours of Night Vision Goggle experience and 200 hours of instructional time is required.
+ Graduation from AIS is preferred.
+ Candidates should demonstrate creativity, responsiveness, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
+ Ability to work a standard 40-hour week, with potential for overtime as needed.
+ Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
+ Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented setting.
+ Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is necessary.
Language Proficiency:
+ Candidates must be capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.
+ Must respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
+ Ability to create compelling oral and written presentations on intricate subjects is required.
Mathematical Skills:
+ Candidates should be able to perform calculations involving figures, amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, as well as interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
+ Candidates must define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ The ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from various forms of communication is advantageous.
Security Responsibilities:
+ Compliance with all company security and data protection policies is mandatory. Candidates are responsible for the proper handling of all information and materials.
+ Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
+ Domestic and international travel may be necessary.
+ Candidates must be able to navigate stairs and ladders to access simulators or aircraft cockpits.
+ Physical ability to stoop, bend, and crawl as needed.
+ Must be able to detect sounds and odors that indicate potential issues with simulators and their environments.
+ Work will be conducted in an office setting, utilizing personal computers, telephones, and fax machines.
+ Candidates may encounter risks associated with electrical components and moving mechanical parts.
+ Exposure to extreme temperatures, airborne particles, and loud noises may occur.
