Job Summary

The Campus Dietitian is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all nutrition care activities while adhering to established standards. This includes developing and implementing cost-effective nutrition programs, collaborating with the multidisciplinary campus dining team, and establishing policies and standards for optimal nutrition care.

Key Responsibilities

? Develop and implement nutrition programs that meet the needs of students and faculty.
? Collaborate with the campus dining team to implement nutrition care plans and establish policies and standards for optimal nutrition care.
? Manage the sustainability and wellbeing goals, objectives, initiatives, and strategies in collaboration with other sustainability professionals and relevant stakeholders.
? Develop goals and objectives for nutrition to maintain high-quality campus food options.
? Assist in the performance planning process for Dietitians and Dietetic Interns and interview, select, and train employees within the Food and Nutrition Services.
? Participate in the budget process and recognize and adopt activities appropriate to the specific needs of the student population.
? Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other facility departments to provide a unified approach to student care.
? Develop, implement, and document in-service education programs for Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Interns to provide continuing education and training.
? Engage in and encourage staff to participate in research, submit to professional publications, and participate in professional and community lectures.
? Establish and maintain systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.

Requirements

? Requires at least 3-5 years of experience as a dietitian.
? 2 years of supervisory experience.
? Requires a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution with coursework accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies.
? Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies.
? Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in the geographic location where applicable.
