Key Responsibilities:

As a Production Supervisor, you will:
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve any equipment or personnel-related issues.
  • Recommend enhancements to formulas, equipment, and engineering processes.
  • Provide necessary training to team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with Supply Chain Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to meet production goals.
  • Oversee the creation and updating of process condition documentation.
  • Manage all paperwork related to production orders.
  • Coordinate training for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Strive for maximum production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Plan staffing effectively, including vacation schedules and coverage arrangements.
  • Minimize product loss and scrap production.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for production staff, providing clear feedback on objectives and expectations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to purchasing teams.
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for production staff.
  • Address attendance issues in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with other Shift Supervisors for smooth shift transitions and staffing adequacy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area to meet housekeeping standards.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • A positive attitude that inspires the team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • A results-driven mindset, understanding the importance of team engagement.
  • Experience in plastics extrusion is highly preferred.
  • At least seven years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role with direct reports.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and manufacturing operations.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including MS Office.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
