About the Role

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Private Duty Nurse. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, promoting independence and improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage individualized care plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a home health or pediatric setting.
  • Ability to travel to patient homes and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
