Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse RN Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare is a leading national provider of home health services to medically fragile children and adults. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Private Duty Nurse RN.

Job Summary

The Private Duty Nurse RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care, promoting patient independence, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage individualized care plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a home health or hospice setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, and travel to patient homes as needed.
