Job Summary

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage the human resources of Total Civil Construction & Engineering, LLC. This includes analyzing market trends, forecasting future needs, and identifying potential risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience in full-cycle staffing, employee relations, training and development, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruiting and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Leverage existing training and development tools to enhance the workforce
  • Consult with leadership team and supervisors on employee relations, discipline, and performance management
  • Analyze and forecast market total compensation trends and develop strategies to enhance benefits while containing costs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in human resources, staffing, compliance, business management, and employee relations
  • At least 5 years of management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve conflict professionally
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to communicate in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related experience
  • 10+ years in a construction environment with federal contracting background
  • Professional certification in human resources (PHR, SPHR, or similar)
