Position Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Brooklyn, NY

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Overview: We are looking for a committed Special Education Teacher to become part of our educational team in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role involves collaborative teaching in an integrated classroom setting and facilitating small group instruction.
Position Responsibilities:
- Classroom Environment: Engage in co-teaching within an integrated classroom, supporting approximately 10 students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) among a total of around 25 students.
- Small Group Instruction: Lead small group sessions, ensuring no more than 8 students are present at any given time.
- On-site Requirement: This position requires physical presence at the educational facility.
Number of Openings: 1
Professional Development: Selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in optional professional development and training sessions. If candidates choose to attend, they will receive a daily stipend instead of their hourly rate:
- Stipend for Special Education Teachers: $150 per day
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid NY Special Education certification is mandatory, covering grades 7-12, K-12, or K-12.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in co-teaching and small group instructional strategies is advantageous.
