Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Robert Hess Search Group. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying mechanical structures and equipment for multiple clients on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Prepare mechanical designs, layouts, and design sketches to capture design intent and meet project deadlines.
  • Equipment Sizing and Design Calculations: Generate detailed equipment sizing design calculations for mechanical equipment and prepare equipment data sheets.
  • Simulation and Optimization: Develop mechanical simulation models and optimize designs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • System Design and Research: Design HVAC, plumbing systems, and research related building codes to ensure compliance.
  • Project Support: Support the development of schedules, work assignments, and staffing requirements to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaboration and Review: Collaborate with other designers and engineers assigned to each project, review work progress, and provide feedback.
  • Field Reporting and Documentation: Develop and submit field reports with documentation of all job activities.
  • Mentorship and Supervision: Mentor and supervise a Mechanical Engineer EIT.
  • Business Development: Be aware of possible business development opportunities for the firm.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure: Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • Experience: Five to ten years of relevant experience performing engineering-related duties.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Healthcare facility design experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
