KBR is seeking a highly skilled Antenna Engineer to provide technical support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD).
Responsibilities:
MOD operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness.
This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in performing research, antenna design, and creating prototypes of designs.
- Making development schedules, creating budget proposals for development projects, and supporting ground-based aperture projects.
- Skills include expertise with antenna theory, antenna design, satellite modems, and antenna hardware components.
- Technical support for antenna hardware installation, alignment, modeling, and configuration, calibration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of expertise and experience in performing antenna research and design.
- Ability to create prototypes of designs.
- Ability to develop schedules, create budget proposals for development projects.
- Provide ground-based aperture support.
- Have expertise within antenna theory, antenna design, satellite modems, and antenna hardware components.
- Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related quantitative science field.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering or related quantitative science field.
- Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs.
- Experience with cloud development processes.
- Experience with industry system engineering practices.
