Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Security Specialist to join our team. As a Linux Systems Security Specialist, you will be responsible for managing security solutions, performing basic network monitoring, ensuring patches are rolled out, and performing other ground-level security work in an office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Solutions Management
    • Manage security solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  • Network Monitoring
    • Perform basic network monitoring to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Patch Management
    • Ensure patches are rolled out to prevent security breaches and maintain the integrity of our systems.
  • Incident Response
    • Develop and implement incident response procedures to quickly respond to security incidents.
  • Security Awareness
    • Provide security awareness training to employees to ensure they understand the importance of security and their role in maintaining it.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Certifications
    • Current TS/SCI with CI Poly or higher.
  • Skills
    • Strong experience with Linux.
    • Experience with Windows environments.
    • Knowledge of security solutions, network monitoring, patch management, incident response, and security awareness.

Desired Qualifications

  • Information Systems Security Expert (ISSE) – RMF experience.
  • Experience with C++, Python, and SQL.
  • Digital Signals Processing experience.
  • Version Control Software experience.
  • Issue Tracking Software experience.
  • Experience with Test Automation and Continuous Integration.
