Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Manager to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our Client Services team, you will be responsible for guiding successful projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main point of contact for a dedicated list of clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Aid clients with all aspects of project setup, including quotes, supply orders, sample receipt, data reporting, and invoicing.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with clients, laboratory operations, and sales teams to support long-term, successful relationships.
  • Act as the client liaison to the laboratory, ensuring all project aspects are carried out in the best interest of the client and laboratory operations.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular updates through proactive communication to clients, lab operations, and sales teams.
  • Understand all applicable aspects of client projects, including regulations, methods, and results.
  • Document and execute client requests, including bottle orders, sample tracking, LIMS login, and change orders.
  • Review project data and invoicing for accuracy and completeness before sending final reports to clients.
  • Participate in offsite and/or virtual client meetings as coordinated with the Sales team.
  • Promote a positive working atmosphere and represent SGS in a positive manner inside and outside the laboratory.
Qualifications:
  • Associates' degree or equivalent industry experience and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in sciences and/or customer service.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field and 2 to 3 years of experience as a Project Manager Assistant.
  • Advanced oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong self-initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Advanced mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid critical thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 25 lbs on an occasional basis.
