Position Title: Palliative Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a consultative role supported by a robust referral network
- Collaborate with a dedicated team comprising Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Nurse Coordinators, Social Workers, and administrative personnel
- Work alongside experienced staff fostering strong patient relationships
- Maintain a primarily Monday to Friday work schedule with a 1:6 after-hours call rotation to ensure a balanced work/life dynamic
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team approach to deliver exceptional patient care
- Hold an academic appointment at the University of Iowa, involving teaching and mentoring responsibilities
- Manage an average of 3-4 new consultations and 4-6 follow-up visits daily
- Provide consulting services exclusively in Palliative Care
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
- Fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory, provided there is relevant experience
- We seek a flexible, team-oriented physician with outstanding leadership and interpersonal capabilities
