Dental Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Dental Care Specialist (PRN) to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our dental director to provide comprehensive and emergency oral care to patients of Primary Health Care, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients presenting to the dental clinics and order necessary procedures for the diagnosis of oral-related diseases.
- Plan and sequence oral/dental treatment based on the patient's oral diagnosis and age-related, physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs.
- Develop treatment modalities to enable patients with compromising age-related, physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs to receive oral care.
- Provide comprehensive and emergency oral care in the dental clinics and operating room based on the patient's diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding oral diagnosis, treatment plans, pre and postoperative instructions, and prevention of disease.
- DDS/DMD degree from an approved dental school.
- Current license to practice dentistry in the state of Iowa.
- Current registration with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners (CSA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
- Current Mandatory Reporter Training: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse recognized by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
- Completion of a hospital-based general practice residency program or experience in hospital dental protocols.
- Community Health Center experience.
- Two years of experience as a dentist.
