Electrical Trades Teacher Position

Camden City School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Electrical Trades Teacher to join our team. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of electrical trades professionals.

Job Summary

The Electrical Trades Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students in electrical trades, including electrical codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical theory and a proven track record of teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instruction to students in electrical trades, including electrical codes and standards
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with special needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with industry developments
Requirements
  • Valid NJ Instructional Certificate: Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate
  • Five (5) years experience in Electrical Trades
  • Proficiency in electrical theory to prepare students to pass the State mandated competency exam
  • Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
