Job SummaryWe are seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our team at LakeHouse New Holstein. This role involves providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support to our residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide care and support to a designated group of residents during the shift, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Observe, report, and document any changes in residents' conditions, including skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
- Respond promptly to security system alerts and resident call bells.
- Notify supervisors and Health Care Coordinators of any increased care needs.
- Assist with continence management, dispose of products properly, and maintain cleanliness of resident suites and community restrooms.
- Serve and collect food trays, report meal refusals or loss of appetite, and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Practice good standard care precautions, promote dignity and physical safety, and engage residents in life skills and activities.
- Assist with resident laundry as assigned and needed.
- Review service plans, assist with medication administration, and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Restock medication carts, count narcotics, and maintain the Medication Room and med charts.
- Participate in service plan development and monthly updates.
- Take and record vital signs, report occupational exposures, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- CPR Certification preferred.
- First Aid Certification preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
