Job Title: Assistant Program Manager

Hoyleton Youth and Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients.

Job Summary

The Assistant Program Manager will assist in therapeutic programming, advocating for clients and staff, and ensuring that all team members feel respected and included. This position requires strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to direct services in a manner that reflects appreciation for the cultural background, heritage, and identity of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide shift planning, coaching, and decision-making support for staff on duty, consistent with CARE principles.
  2. Assist in interviews, selects, supervises, and completes performance evaluations for Youth Care Workers assigned to the TLP.
  3. Complete documentation as required by the agency and assist/provide oversight to all staff in their completion of client documentation paperwork.
  4. Ability to role model/Coach a strong work ethic with a focus on providing quality care for children.
  5. Ability to build trust and a strong relationship with staff, peers, and stakeholders.
  6. Attends LifeSet group meeting, red flag calls, and weekly clinical consultation.
  7. Identifies staff development needs and recommends and/or requires ongoing training for staff.
  8. Reviews incidents and identifies patterns associated with individual youth and/or staff and develops strategies to reduce such episodes to the degree possible.
  9. Assures that required records and reports are completed, including client summaries, incident reports, workers' compensation reports, and other administrative and treatment summaries.
  10. Submits maintenance requests as needed and assures a hygienic environment throughout the house.
  11. Assists in the development of program budget; monitors expenses and minimizes budget variances.
  12. Oversees the compliance with, and documentation of, documentation requirements by assigned staff.
  13. This Position requires on-call status whenever applicable.
Requirements
  1. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication.
  4. Must be able to direct services in a manner that reflects appreciation for the cultural background, heritage, and identity of the clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Candidates with personal lived experience in the LGBTQ+ community are strongly preferred.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  3. High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in the human service field with 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  4. Must have a valid driver's license.
  5. Must have auto insurance.
CARE and TCI

One of the essential job functions of any position within the agency is to align your performance with our overarching philosophy of CARE. All decisions, actions, communication, and performance should align with the six CARE principles (Developmentally Focused, Family Involved, Relationship Based, Ecologically Oriented, Competence Centered, and Trauma Informed). Not only must you complete the CARE training with satisfactory participation, but you must then put that training into practice in your everyday work.

Every employee must also pass TCI training with a satisfactory grade in written and/or physical testing. All employees must remain current on refresher training that is provided monthly at all locations. You will be tested every 6 months on the physical portion, if applicable to your position. You will be tested annually on the written portion regardless of your position. If you are not current on your TCI refresher training every six months, you will be required to retake the full course. If you do not pass either test, you may be required to retake the full course.
