Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement APQP plans for development, aligning to customer milestones and requirements.
  • Coordinate all activities between various departments for development, as per plan.
  • Conduct regular internal meetings to review project progress and necessary action plans.
  • Conduct project review meetings with customers and keep them updated on project progress.
  • Evaluate and escalate upcoming risks in the project to management and seek necessary support.
  • Track project budget and part cost elements during various phases of development.
  • Interact with customers for requests for changes/modifications and deviations in drawings during the project development phase.
  • Comply with APQP/VDA procedures and gate reviews, maintain documents and records in line with system requirements.
  • Coordinate safe launch runs to meet customer requirements.
  • Project planning includes timeline, budgets, resource, and risk assessment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • At least five years of project development and launch experience in automotive supply environments, with demonstrated experience developing, motivating, and leading a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business required.
  • MBA preferred - PMP Certification a plus.
  • Good communication and coordination with various teams.
  • Leadership skills to lead the project along with CFT.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues and mitigate them.
  • Good knowledge of IATF/VDA requirements, APQP, PPAP, etc.
  • Hands-on experience as a project leader with direct interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal progressive stamping, plastic injection molding.
