Job Title: Delivery Infrastructure Architect Principal

At ThoughtWorks, we're seeking a seasoned Delivery Infrastructure Architect Principal to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the architecture of our clients' delivery infrastructure, ensuring it's scalable, secure, and resilient.

As a Delivery Infrastructure Architect Principal, you'll work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and translate those into a clear vision for their delivery infrastructure. You'll be responsible for architecting and implementing solutions that meet the needs of our clients, while also fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within our team.

We're looking for someone with a deep understanding of cloud architecture, including expertise in one of the big 3 public cloud providers. You should have experience using tools and approaches to support secure, resilient, and scalable architectures, such as Cloud Native Architecture principles. Additionally, you should have experience with Platform as a Service, including commercial offerings and the components necessary to implement containerized workloads.

As a Delivery Infrastructure Architect Principal, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure solutions to developing and maintaining our clients' delivery infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient delivery infrastructure solutions for our clients
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and translate those into a clear vision for their delivery infrastructure
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within our team
  • Develop and maintain our clients' delivery infrastructure, ensuring it meets their evolving needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud architecture trends and technologies, and apply that knowledge to our clients' solutions
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, including expertise in one of the big 3 public cloud providers
  • Experience using tools and approaches to support secure, resilient, and scalable architectures, such as Cloud Native Architecture principles
  • Experience with Platform as a Service, including commercial offerings and the components necessary to implement containerized workloads
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as a service / infrastructure as code tools and frameworks for private and public cloud architectures
  • Deep knowledge of continuous delivery practices and tooling
  • Prior experience doing TDD and ODD for infrastructure code, as well as monitoring, logging, and alerting in an agile environment
  • Thorough basic understanding of cloud networking (including SDN), firewalls, DNS, and storage
  • Experience crafting identity and authorization architecture and building them
