Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Engineer to work with a dynamic team on complex transportation projects at YSMA, a HR Green Company. Our transportation team prioritizes end-users, envisioning solutions, developing designs, building consensus, and constructing infrastructure that meets client needs while considering the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team and independently in learning, evaluating, and applying engineering principles, standards, and criteria.
  • Assist in conducting studies, field reviews, and site investigations.
  • Prepare traffic operation analysis, traffic signal timing plans, traffic impact analysis, and transportation planning studies.
  • Utilize various modeling tools for traffic analysis (Synchro, VISSIM, HCS) for various conditions and needs at intersections, along arterial corridors, and freeway segments.
  • Perform road safety assessments, transportation corridor studies, traffic signal warrant studies, speed studies, and safety analyses.
  • Design work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal design plans, and sign and marking design plans.
  • Utilize transportation databases (such as SteeetLight Data or ClearGuide) and/or GIS tools for analysis of transportation systems.
  • Develop reports and supporting documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proficiency in VISSIM and Synchro is preferred.
  • GIS and database management capabilities are a plus.
