Canine Grooming Specialist

Salary: $18-$19 per hour

We are looking for a dedicated Canine Grooming Specialist to contribute to our esteemed facility, Paradise Pet Lodge. Our establishment is known for its commitment to providing exceptional care for dogs and cats in a vibrant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bathing, drying, nail clipping, ear cleaning, coat brushing, and gland expression for dogs.
• Collaborate with team members and seek assistance when necessary.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of all pets at all times.
• Prepare dogs for grooming procedures.
• Conduct potty walks for the animals.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding the health and status of the pets.
• Operate laundry equipment to maintain cleanliness of towels and supplies.
• Input pricing and detailed instructions into our management system.
• Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Maintain all bathing equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
• Manage phone inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Ensure cleanliness of the bathing area, including sweeping hair, mopping floors, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Monitor the health of pets during bathing and report any concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Ability to complete bathing tasks efficiently.
• No prior experience necessary; we are willing to train the right individual.
• Experience in animal care is advantageous.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with pets.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and kneeling for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift and move animals weighing up to 70 lbs.

Job Details:

• Availability for 4-5 days of work per week.
• Willingness to work on weekdays and weekends.
• Starting wage is $17 per hour.
