Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Wi-Fi software platform, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee the design and development of software for Wi-Fi platforms, ensuring compliance with IEEE standards and optimal performance of MAC and PHY layers.
  • Innovation: Lead the integration of emerging IEEE and Wi-Fi standards into the software platform, staying ahead of technological advancements to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and chipset vendors to integrate and optimize software solutions, ensuring effective communication between software and hardware components.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with chipset vendors and other key partners to align software development with hardware capabilities and industry standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews and testing, to ensure that the software meets all relevant IEEE standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Wi-Fi software development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in IEEE 802.11 protocols (e.g., 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be) and Wi-Fi MAC/PHY layer technologies.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale software platform projects and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
