Job Summary

FM's Washington, D.C. Operations is seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join the Client Service Department in our Malvern, PA office. This role will perform insurance servicing and property underwriting activities on existing accounts and new business, serving as the account team leader and manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and brokers to drive long-term customer dedication to FM.
  • Ensure profitability by retaining existing customers at equitable terms and conditions, improving risk management expertise, and services to enhance client risk quality.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of FM's broad suite of products and services to deliver targeted client value.
  • Provide leadership to the extended client service team to support clients' strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement formalized risk reduction and mitigation strategies with clients in collaboration with engineering counterparts.
  • Work closely with Business Development Executives to contribute underwriting expertise and relationship development support to qualify and win new client accounts.
  • Protect FM's assets through effective use of company underwriting programs and adherence to published guidelines.
  • Pursue professional development through licensing and continuing education to stay up-to-date on underwriting guidelines, policy forms, and insurance industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; CPCU or ARM desired but not required.
  • 5 years FM experience or 5 years industry experience in servicing/underwriting large property accounts of varying occupancies.
  • Strong understanding of property loss prevention concepts and familiarity with FM's client service process.
  • Working knowledge of property insurance and forms, financial documents, and business computer applications.
  • Demonstrated above-average organizational ability, including problem-solving, sales/negotiation, leadership, and team-building skills.
