We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses with clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment.
- Provide patient physical care, including bed baths, toileting, grooming, and changing bed linen, as per established guidelines.
- Monitor patient vital signs and blood glucose levels, as per established guidelines.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding, as needed.
- Perform patient rounds regularly and respond promptly to call lights to meet patients' needs.
- Document patient care in a timely manner, adhering to established standards.
- Organize patient rooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collect and label specimens, as per established procedures.
- Mentor and teach new nursing assistants to meet performance expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
- Knowledge of DPH/OEMS regulations.
