Position Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator will support the HR department in various employee-related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

The following tasks are essential duties that an individual in this role may be expected to perform:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR Director in daily operations.
  • Ensure personnel files are up-to-date and maintain the HRIS (Paycom) accurately.
  • Support coordinators with recruitment, onboarding, and payroll processes as necessary.
  • Facilitate the recruitment and interview processes, including conducting reference and social media checks.
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters and new hire documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with I-9 documentation for all employees.
  • Assist in HR audits and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Conduct orientations for new employees, including faculty and staff.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the HR Director.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of HR functions.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in work.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality, following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • Capacity to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Experience and Education:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an HR Assistant role.
  • Certification or Associate's degree, or ongoing education in the HR field.
