Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized clinical services for patients facing cognitive memory challenges, including the assessment, treatment, and management of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and various forms of dementia.
  • Conduct thorough neurological assessments, encompassing detailed history-taking, physical examinations, and the interpretation of diagnostic evaluations to establish precise diagnoses and formulate evidence-based treatment strategies.
  • Engage in collaborative care with fellow specialists, including neuropsychologists and psychiatrists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to managing cognitive disorders.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease management, lifestyle adjustments, and care planning, fostering involvement in the decision-making process.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to share knowledge and enhance the collective expertise of the neurology team.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and adhere to all regulatory and institutional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology.
  • Fellowship training in dementia or cognitive neurology, or a strong commitment to cognitive memory issues.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • Possession of a valid medical license in Texas.
  • Exceptional clinical skills, including proficiency in history-taking and diagnostic test interpretation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
