Manufacturing Engineer Machining Specialist

At Shively Brothers, we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Machining to join our team.
As a key contributor to our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives, improving tooling efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives to reduce tooling and manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate with the plant to resolve safety, quality, throughput, or cost issues related to tooling.
- Generate and implement optimized machining processes and cutting parameters to improve production efficiency.
- Assist the manufacturing team in resolving machining and tooling-related issues affecting costs, scrap rates, and production rates.
- Recommend and implement new technologies and improved tooling designs to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with the preset team on proper tool setup techniques and maintain safety and good housekeeping standards for the site.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working in production machining, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or experience working in a closely related technical field preferred.
- Prior experience designing and tooling parts in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency with computers and strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
